The Kangaroo Point Green Bridge is more than just a new crossing, it’s a landmark addition to Brisbane’s cityscape and a critical piece of active transport infrastructure.
Spanning 470 metres, the single-mast cable-stayed bridge connects Kangaroo Point to Brisbane’s CBD, dramatically improving access for pedestrians and cyclists while reducing traffic on the Story Bridge. With riverside dining, shaded viewing decks, and a sweeping architectural profile, it has become a must-visit destination for residents and visitors alike.
Construction commenced in 2021 and was completed in 2024. The bridge reaches a height of up to 12.7 metres above high-water level, matching the Victoria and Captain Cook Bridges, and delivers a 6.8-metre-wide shared path for active users.

From managing 180-tonne mastheads (each the weight of three double-decker CityCat ferries) to maintaining the long-term stability of girders during transport and installation, our team provided critical design services to ensure a smooth and safe build sequence.
