The Markhill Windfarm Substation Extension project supports the expansion of renewable energy generation in Scotland. The works involve extending the existing substation infrastructure to accommodate additional capacity from new wind turbines. This complex project required close coordination with stakeholders, stringent safety management, and delivery within live operational environments. The extension enhances grid connectivity, contributing to the UK’s net-zero targets by enabling more clean energy to be transmitted efficiently and reliably.
CaSE were engaged to assist with the Temporary Works Design aspects related to the enabling works to allow for the subsequent expansion works on the substation
