About the Role

CaSE is seeking an Intermediate Structural Drafter to support structural drafting, modelling and detailing work across major buildings, infrastructure and construction-led projects throughout New Zealand and internationally. Working as part of a globally connected digital engineering team, you will contribute to projects across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom and other international markets.

This role is suited to someone who is hands-on in Revit, understands how drawings are used on site, and has strong detailing capability across reinforced concrete, rebar, precast and structural steel. The team is focused on practical digital outputs that support construction, fabrication and buildability.

You will work closely with engineers, senior drafters and project teams to produce accurate, coordinated and construction-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce structural drawings, models and documentation using Revit.
  • Prepare reinforcement detailing, rebar layouts and bar schedules.
  • Support precast concrete, structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing packages.
  • Produce shop drawings and fabrication-ready documentation.
  • Coordinate models with engineers, designers and external project teams.
  • Assist with clash detection, drawing reviews and model coordination.
  • Ensure drawings are accurate, buildable and issued in line with programme requirements.
  • Support the development of detailing standards, templates and model workflows.
  • Contribute to practical design reviews with a focus on construction methodology.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in Structural Drafting, Civil Engineering Drafting, Digital Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–7 years’ structural drafting or digital modelling experience.
  • Strong Revit capability.
  • Experience in reinforcement detailing and rebar scheduling.
  • Experience with steel fabrication shop drawings highly regarded.
  • Exposure to precast concrete, reinforced concrete and structural steel detailing.
  • Understanding of construction sequencing, buildability and site requirements.
  • Experience on infrastructure, buildings, bridges or complex structural projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and checking discipline.
  • Ability to work remotely with distributed project teams.
  • Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
