Cross River Rail is a 10.2-kilometre rail line extending from Dutton Park to Bowen Hills, featuring 5.9 kilometres of twin tunnels beneath the Brisbane River and the CBD. The project aims to alleviate a critical bottleneck in the city's transport network, transforming travel across South East Queensland. It is expected to enhance quality of life, support economic growth, and generate thousands of jobs.
The joint venture team of CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella, and UGL is responsible for the detailed design and delivery of the tunnels and four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, and Roma Street.
CaSE provided extensive support to the project, including temporary works design at the Coffs Harbour precast yard and on-site in Brisbane. Sam Chu was based full-time in Coffs Harbour, offering expertise in precast segmental operations for the segment casting process.
