Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver complex structural and temporary works designs from concept to construction
- Provide technical oversight, design assurance, and mentorship across a multidisciplinary team
- Manage project scopes, budgets, and resource planning, ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes
- Contribute to business development, tenders, and client presentations
- Develop and review competitive fee proposals and project estimates
- Oversee design documentation and ensure alignment with Australian Standards and client requirements
- Drive collaboration with global teams, including coordination of offshore resources
- Promote a culture of innovation, safety, and continuous improvement
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor
What You Bring:
- Chartered Structural Engineer (Engineers Australia or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on complex infrastructure and temporary works
- Proven leadership in project delivery, team mentoring, and client engagement
- Strong expertise in steel and concrete design, with solid understanding of load paths, constructability, and first principles
- Practical, site-based problem-solving experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in structural analysis and FEM tools including Civil 3D, SpaceGass, Midas, and Strand7, with ability to lead complex modelling projects
- Strong knowledge of Australian Design Standards and construction codes
- Commercially astute with experience in fee proposals, resource planning, and cost control
