Nick is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 35 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, concrete technology and temporary works design. His career spans major highways, rail, flood defence and building projects, where he has delivered foundation design, earthworks, deep excavations, retaining structures and complex temporary support systems with a strong focus on constructability and safety.

Before joining CaSE, Nick held senior technical and leadership roles across the UK, acting as Geotechnical CRE, Design Team Lead and independent advisor on large-scale infrastructure programs. He has contributed to national and European standards development, including serving on BSI panels and helping update BS 8004 Code of Practice for Foundations.

Known for pairing deep technical expertise with practical delivery insight, Nick ensures ground engineering and temporary works solutions align with construction realities at every stage of a project.
