Joseph brings 30+ years of professional experience as a senior Commercial and Contracts Manager in the building and engineering industry, working with projects in Europe, the USA, South America, the Middle East and Australia. He has worked on a wide variety of complex multi-million-dollar engineering, infrastructure, resources and building projects, in senior project and corporate management roles for tier 1 contractors and public sector clients.
In recent years, as a professional services consultant, Joseph has provided commercial and contractual advisory services on a wide variety of NSW rail and transport infrastructure projects. During his time working on various projects for TfNSW and TPD, Joseph has dealt with NSW Treasury and NSW Auditor General’s office and understands their key processes and requirements. He also understands the requirements for auditable records under NSW State Records Act.
Joseph also has a highly developed knowledge of bespoke and standard forms of construction contracts and their application to D&C, BOOT, PPP and operational contracts. He is a highly skilled negotiator and has a track record of using these skills, combined with his advanced understanding of construction contracts, to successfully negotiate terms and conditions of contracts and to administer and manage variations and claims to successful outcomes for both contractors and client organisations.
