The Kangaroo Point Green Bridge is more than just a new crossing, it\u2019s a landmark addition to Brisbane\u2019s cityscape and a critical piece of active transport infrastructure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Spanning 470 metres, the single-mast cable-stayed bridge connects Kangaroo Point to Brisbane\u2019s CBD, dramatically improving access for pedestrians and cyclists while reducing traffic on the Story Bridge. With riverside dining, shaded viewing decks, and a sweeping architectural profile, it has become a must-visit destination for residents and visitors alike. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Construction commenced in 2021 and was completed in 2024. The bridge reaches a height of up to 12.7 metres above high-water level, matching the Victoria and Captain Cook Bridges, and delivers a 6.8-metre-wide shared path for active users. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
